About Start up Cohort Programme

Today Start-ups in India have a unique opportunity to build world-class sustainable and innovative products for emerging customers globally. There are numerous start-ups which have become global success stories and should be nurtured for a well-functioning ecosystem.

Capgemini SAP Account team, in collaboration with SAP Labs India’s SAP Startup Studio is joining hands to create a seamless engagement model for “early stage” and “growth stage” enterprise SaaS Companies. The cohort will focus on building industry-specific solutions for our global customers leveraging the SAP Business Technology platform. This programme is specially designed to give burgeoning startups, the platform to showcase their ideas and leverage the large talent pool in India.

These handpicked startups will go through an intensive 12 months’ program - build, develop and GTM planning, specially designed in partnership with Capgemini and SAP Labs India’s Startup Studio.

Prior to the Grand Jury a set of domain experts from Capgemini and SAP (Industry and Product Engineering) have evaluated the final list of startups for the Grand Jury. We have put together an efficient mechanism for evaluation and startups go through thorough rounds of deliberation before they make it to the final round. A combination of research, tools, presentations and demos have been used to reach the list of startups going into the Grand Jury round.

innovative is the solution? Is the solution future-proof? Does the solution have a clearly defined USP?
  • Problem Identification - The problem been identified/ defined effectively and it is backed by relevant market research. The target beneficiaries have been clearly defined
  • Solution - The solution solves the problem in the intended manner in a sustainable way
  • Innovation - The proposed solution is innovative and creative. Strong differentiation vis a vis other competitors solutions
  • Reastic & Feasible - The solution is realistic, practical and feasible to apply
  • Ease of Usage - The Solution is not complex and is easy to use. It is user friendly

  • Scalability - Extent - The solution can be adapted to SAP landscape. Level of scale is high
  • Scalability - Ease - The solution is easy to scale. Does not depend on too many factors which may inhibit/ limit scaling up
GTM strategy
What is the geographical impact of the solution? Are there possibilities for localization?
  • Milestones - Timeline and milestones to date, growth metrics, partnerships, awards, publicity. Customer success stories and/or testimonials
  • Impact - What is the number of people and geography and the solution will impact (numerical/empirical estimate )
Entrepreneurial Team
How stable is the team? What is the domain expertise of the team?
  • Team - Cross Functional Multi-disciplinary Team with relevant industry/ sector experience. The team brings in unique but complementary skills to add value to the project. Positive consideration to gender diversity.
  • Vision - The Team has a short term plan (immediate requirements) vs a Long term plan. They should have identified the major risks and developed appropriate contingency plans which will have a defined timeline of achievable & measurable milestones
